CLOSING RECEPTION FOR undergroundwaterfoot

So much grows without a thought from humans—too small, too remote, too hidden that we live our lives uninterrupted by its presence. In the sea, in the soil, in sandy middens, cypress marshes, brackish tidal zones, life grows and dies, cycling through stages, without a human witness.

In this ceramic installation by Adria Katz and Cecilia Lang, different growths—pods, buds, polyps, spores—show species thriving, heedless of their human spectators.
